Series 3000 5W-30 Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel Oil Discontinued

AMSOIL Series 3000 5W-30 Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel Oil is discontinued and available while supplies last due to diminishing sales. Customers using this product are encouraged to upgrade to Signature Series Max-Duty 5W-30 Synthetic Diesel Oil.

While our previous-generation synthetic diesel oils set the bar for quality and protection for over 20 years, Signature Series Max-Duty Synthetic Diesel Oil exceeds the latest API CK-4 specification and represents a serious upgrade in protection and performance compared to oils formulated for previous API diesel oil specifications, including API CJ-4 and CI-4+.

• More piston-scuffing protection for reduced wear

• Better thermal control to resist oil thickening, aid in cooling and reduce wear

• Improved shear stability for maximum resistance to oil consumption and wear

• Enhanced aeration control, promoting oil-pump efficiency, wear protection and heat resistance

API CK-4 diesel oils are backward-compatible, meaning they are recommended in all applications specifying API CJ-4, CI-4+ (and prior) specifications.

*than required by the Detroit Diesel DD13 Scuffing Test for specification DFS 93K222 using 5W-30 as worst-case representation.

WIX Price Adjustment

Effective April 1, WIX has implemented an average 6% price increase on its filters due to increased raw-material costs.

Beware of Ordering Scams

We have been made aware of several attempts by scam artists to target AMSOIL Dealers while posing as legitimate companies, including recent attempts by someone posing as a representative from Pfizer. It is important to be wary of scam attempts during the ordering process. If an opportunity seems too good to be true, it may be a scam. Be wary of the following warning signs:

• Unusually large orders or unusual product selection

• Email domain name doesn’t match the legitimate company’s website address

• Names on the account, credit card or shipping address don’t match

• Multiple orders with different shipping addresses

• Multiple payment methods used or offered

• “New” businesses with no online presence

• Price isn’t an issue and registering as a customer is too inconvenient

• Caller ID is different than phone number used on account

• Speed is important

• Unusual shipping locations, including trucking company depots, storage facilities, vacant buildings, apartments and package-forwarding services

• Retail businesses (resellers) that aren’t concerned about paying sales taxes

While there can be legitimate reasons for some of these unusual situations, Dealers are well-advised to perform additional research. A couple minutes of online research by name, business name, address and telephone number can usually confirm whether an opportunity is legitimate. Asking customers a few questions about the type of business, how products will be used, who is the end customer and billing details associated with credit cards can also be helpful. Consumers are used to providing this type of information, and these questions can help identify fraudulent activities. If you have doubts, do more research, decline the opportunity and advise AMSOIL/others to look out for similar activities.

Do not rely on credit card authorization processes to determine if payment is valid. Transactions with stolen credit cards will be authorized until the theft or fraudulent activity is identified, but credit/debit card companies will charge back merchants for all fraudulent charges. In some cases this can take 90 or more days after the sale. At this point, there is little chance of retrieving products or identifying the customer.

Protect yourself and your Dealership by doing your homework and knowing who you’re selling to. Remember, it is your responsibility to avoid selling products to another Dealer’s protected customers and to ensure your customers aren’t attempting to pass stolen credit cards or resell products online.

Canadian Interline Fee Adjustment Effective April 1

Loomis Express adjusts Canadian interline fees annually to compensate for increasing transportation costs. Starting April 1, shipments to the few outlying areas subject to interline fees will incur an increase of 4.9%. To look up specific interline fees by postal code, visit

French-Canadian AMSOIL Website Launching Soon

Canadian Dealers and customers make up a substantial part of the AMSOIL business. That’s why it’s important that we have a website that fits their needs. Beginning in April, AMSOIL.ca will be available in both official languages of Canada: English and French.

What To Know

• AMSOIL.ca and AMSOIL.com visitors will have the option to select the French-Canadian site from the dropdown menu in the upper right of their screen on desktop or in the navigation menu on mobile.

• Dealer-number transfer links will continue to work for the French AMSOIL.ca just as they do for the English AMSOIL.ca and AMSOIL.com.

• Only public-facing pages on AMSOIL.ca will be available in French. The Dealer Zone, Retail Zone, Commercial Zone, International Zone and MyAMSOILGarage™ will not be translated at this time.

We recognize Canada as a unique market, and we’ve pledged to support Canadian Dealers and accounts. Having a French-Canadian AMSOIL website lets all our Canadian customers have an online experience tailored exactly for what they need.
