Steve Scheuring raced snowmobiles on the ice-oval circuit in the 1970s and has been an innovator and tireless ambassador for the sport of snowmobiling ever since. He founded Scheuring Speed Sports in the late '90s as the first independent professional snocross team without factory backing. New Compensation Information Page

The new compensation information page at joinAMSOIL.com provides details about how Dealers earn money selling AMSOIL products under the TN50 compensation plan, how AMSOIL assigns buying customers to Dealers and the assigned-customer multiplier. The page also features a calculator that allows visitors to calculate their potential monthly earnings on AMSOIL product sales. The December commercial training session is canceled in order to develop new and exciting content and give you a break for the holidays. Donaldson Price Adjustment

Effective Jan. 1, Donaldson has implemented an average 3.6% price increase on its filters due to increased raw-material, freight and labor costs.

Filter Cap Wrench Price Adjustment

Effective Jan. 1, we are implementing a minimal price adjustment on AMSOIL filter cap wrenches due to increased raw-material, freight and labor costs.

Holiday Shipping

Keep in mind that shipping companies are extra busy during the holiday season, possibly resulting in shipping delays. Plan accordingly and place orders earlier than normal to ensure they arrive on time.

Holiday Closings

The AMSOIL corporate headquarters, U.S. distribution centers and Canadian distribution centers will be closed Monday, Dec. 26 for Christmas Day and Monday, Jan. 2 for New Year’s Day. The Toronto Distribution Center will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 27 for Boxing Day.

Holiday Activities

The AMSOIL corporate headquarters will close at 12 p.m. Central Time on Friday, Dec. 9 for holiday activities. Limited Customer Service personnel will be available for orders, so please do not attempt to contact corporate staff via the toll-free ordering number during this time so as not to overload the limited staff. In addition, placing Dealer orders in advance of this date would be appreciated to aid in keeping the lines clear for customers.

Retail Co-op Program Reminder

Co-op credit earned by qualifying retail accounts expires at the end of the year. Check in with your accounts and remind them to use the co-op credit they’ve earned before it expires Dec. 31.

Retail accounts (not installers) earn co-op credit that can be applied to the costs of qualified advertising, literature, merchandising and promotional items. Co-op credit is earned with every product purchase throughout the year. All credit is awarded at the beginning of January the following year and expires on Dec. 31. The more an account buys in a year, the greater the co-op percentage earned. Co-op credit is earned according to the following scale:

$0 - $7,499                   3%

$7,500 - $24,999           4%

$25,000 or more            5%

Beware of Ordering Scams

We have been made aware of several attempts by scam artists to target AMSOIL Dealers while posing as legitimate companies, including recent attempts by someone posing as a representative from Pfizer. It is important to be wary of scam attempts during the ordering process. If an opportunity seems too good to be true, it may be a scam. Be wary of the following warning signs:

• Unusually large orders or unusual product selection

• Email domain name doesn’t match the legitimate company’s website address

• Names on the account, credit card or shipping address don’t match

• Multiple orders with different shipping addresses

• Multiple payment methods used or offered

• “New” businesses with no online presence

• Price isn’t an issue and registering as a customer is too inconvenient

• Caller ID is different than phone number used on account

• Speed is important

• Unusual shipping locations, including trucking company depots, storage facilities, vacant buildings, apartments and package-forwarding services

• Retail businesses (resellers) that aren’t concerned about paying sales taxes

While there can be legitimate reasons for some of these unusual situations, Dealers are well-advised to perform additional research. A couple minutes of online research by name, business name, address and telephone number can usually confirm whether an opportunity is legitimate. Asking customers a few questions about the type of business, how products will be used, who is the end customer and billing details associated with credit cards can also be helpful. Consumers are used to providing this type of information, and these questions can help identify fraudulent activities. If you have doubts, do more research, decline the opportunity and advise AMSOIL/others to look out for similar activities.

Do not rely on credit card authorization processes to determine if payment is valid. Transactions with stolen credit cards will be authorized until the theft or fraudulent activity is identified, but credit/debit card companies will charge back merchants for all fraudulent charges. In some cases this can take 90 or more days after the sale. At this point, there is little chance of retrieving products or identifying the customer.

Protect yourself and your Dealership by doing your homework and knowing who you’re selling to. Remember, it is your responsibility to avoid selling products to another Dealer’s protected customers and to ensure your customers aren’t attempting to pass stolen credit cards or resell products online.

The Next 50 Compensation Plan is Now Live

The wait is over. The Next 50 (TN50) compensation plan, the biggest and most exciting improvement to the Dealer opportunity in decades, is now in effect.

Following more than a year of research that involved industry experts and hundreds of hours of interviews with current and former Dealers, we developed the TN50 plan to meet the following goals:

• Simpler to understand and explain

• Pay new Dealers more

• Pay more closer to the sale

By introducing a simpler compensation plan that meets these goals, we hope that you’ll register and retain more active, successful Dealers. That adds up to more Dealers selling more products, growing the pie for everyone over the long term.

Changes in the Dealer Zone for the Launch of the TN50 Compensation Plan

Several online adjustments will be taking place to facilitate the launch of the TN50 compensation plan. Here's what you can expect to see in the Dealer Zone in the upcoming weeks:

Oct. 1-3 – A new volume transfer form will be available in the Dealer Zone and new volume transfer features will become available in the Dealer Business System (DBS). Volume transfers for Dealer-to-Dealer sales that occurred in September can be submitted as they have in the past; however, volume transfers for sales in the month of October must be submitted on the new transfer form or through the DBS.

Oct. 1-11 – Group volume and estimated earnings for the month of October will be unavailable in Dealer Zone reporting as we prepare to launch new earnings calculation software and reports for the TN50 compensation plan.

Oct. 12 – New reports will be available in the Dealer Zone. The reports will allow Dealers to monitor month-to-date progress and estimated earnings for both the Legacy and TN50 compensation plans.

Oct. 17 – A new section will be added to reports allowing Dealers to view their category and level in the sales achievement program as well as year-to-date progress toward higher levels of achievement.

Meet AMSOIL President Bhadresh Sutaria

Bhadresh Sutaria joined AMSOIL in 2016 as chief financial officer, bringing deep expertise in general management, strategy, financial and business analysis, accounting, treasury and more. Bhadresh holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University. He has held leadership roles in general management, finance, sales, IT and operations at multiple organizations, including Monsanto,* Mascon,* YRC Worldwide* and Pearson.* He is passionate about business performance management, business transformation and innovation.
