AMSOIL Introduces New Z-ROD™ Synthetic Motor Oil

AMSOIL now offers a synthetic motor oil engineered specifically for classic cars and performance vehicles. Available in 10W-30 and 20W-50 viscosities, AMSOIL Z-ROD Synthetic Motor Oil (ZRT, ZRF) features high-quality synthetic base stocks and a proprietary additive package tailored to perform on the street and protect during storage.

AMSOIL Z-ROD Synthetic Motor Oil is formulated with high levels of ZDDP to protect flat-tappet cams, lifters, rockers and other areas susceptible to wear. Its high-zinc, high-phosphorus formulation provides the extra wear protection these critical splash-lubricated components require.

Z-ROD Synthetic Motor Oil will be available at all AMSOIL distribution centers by the first week of May.

Information Series Videos Now Available for Download

The AMSOIL Information Series Videos are now available for Dealer download. While logged into the Dealer Zone, visit the Information Series Videos page; the option to download each video in QuickTime™ video format appears below the description. The videos are delivered in a compressed (zipped) file format that must be extracted. A second file (M4V) packaged with the QuickTime video allows optimized playback on most computers.

Al Amatuzio Wins Business Person of the Year Award

AMSOIL President and CEO Al Amatuzio was honored with the 2011 Business Person of the Year Award at the 19th Annual Joel Labovitz Entrepreneurial Awards Luncheon presented by the University of Minnesota-Duluth Center for Economic Development at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center in Duluth, Minn. The annual awards event recognizes entrepreneurs in the Twin Ports and Arrowhead region, and the Business Person of the Year Award is presented to a business leader “whose actions have demonstrated ethics, integrity, contributions to the community and effective business practices.”

Once inventory is depleted, Dodge Cummins filler caps BK1301 and BK1302 will be replaced with the BK1303 filler cap.

Dealers who attended one of the 2010 Fall Sales Meetings may remember one of the presentations focusing on a book called The Compound Effect. In this book, author Darren Hardy outlines what it takes to be successful and action steps people can take to achieve success. Because the book is very straightforward, it is one of the main reasons the AMSOIL Dealer Sales Department suggested it as a “must read” book for all AMSOIL Dealers.

The AMSOIL Dealer Sales Department recently received an email from a Dealer who attended the Lancaster, Pa. Fall Sales Meeting. He is an avid reader who sends book reviews to his Personal Group members and friends. He found the presentation in Lancaster interesting enough to put the book on his “to read” list, but did not take immediate action. After reading the book, he shared the following:

“I did not execute immediately following my attendance at the meeting in Lancaster last fall when I delayed reading The Compound Effect. But I feel so strong now after reading The Compound Effect and the message can help everyone, I plan to purchase five copies and give them to some of you on my distribution list. I do this not to make the author richer; but to make my life richer and help some of you to achieve increased success with minimum effort on your part except to read The Compound Effect and then hopefully execute.”

It is a powerful message when it moves a Dealer to purchase five copies and distribute them to people he feels will be positively affected. This Dealer also stated that “my only regret is not reading this book immediately and sharing with you the book’s message.”

If you haven’t read The Compound Effect, we highly recommend it. Don’t fail to execute. Keep learning, keep growing and watch your sales skyrocket.

AMSOIL Expands Signature Series Line

AMSOIL 0W-20 (ASM), 5W-30 (ASL) and 10W-30 (ATM) Synthetic Motor Oils join AMSOIL Signature Series 0W-30 to round out the new Signature Series line. Signature Series 0W-30 is now identified by product code AZO. Product code SSO is discontinued.

In addition to being reformulated to meet the latest API SN Resource Conserving and ILSAC GF-5 industry specifications, the new Signature Series line features all-new packaging and represents the very best motor oils AMSOIL has to offer, allowing motorists to take advantage of maximum extended drain intervals. In the interest of consistency and clarity within the Signature Series line, all four motor oils are recommended for drain intervals of up to 25,000 miles/one year, whichever comes first (15,000 miles/one year in severe service conditions).

With the recent introduction of OE Synthetic Motor Oil and the recent reformulation of XL Synthetic Motor Oil, Signature Series Synthetic Motor Oil provides AMSOIL Dealers with three distinct lines of high-quality synthetic motor oil, allowing them to appeal to every customer type they encounter.

Notes: The new Signature Series line is replacing the previous formulations of the AMSOIL top-tier oils as inventories dictate; orders will be filled with the older formulations and packaging until inventory is depleted, which may occur at varying times for each viscosity. The new Signature Series 0W-30 (AZO) sells at a lower price than the previous Signature Series 0W-30 formulation (SSO). The former Signature Series 0W-30 formulation (SSO) is available while supplies last.

AMSOIL Price Adjustment Effective May 1

The rapidly increasing cost of oil has been well-documented over the past few months, and rising costs of base oils and other raw materials have forced lubricant companies to impose multiple rounds of price increases. Most recently, Valvoline announced an additional 9 to 11 percent average increase, and Castrol is raising its prices again by up to 10 percent. Although AMSOIL implemented a price adjustment March 1, the company has also been hit with additional cost increases from its suppliers and is now forced to implement a May 1 price adjustment in the U.S. and Canada, although the adjustment may vary for each country. The adjustment only affects lubricants and fuel additives, and the increase has been held to an average of roughly 3 to 4 percent. Even with a minimal price adjustment, AMSOIL synthetic lubricants remain the best and most cost-effective choice on the market, saving customers money through extended drain intervals, reduced wear and maintenance and increased fuel efficiency.

Updated pricing information will be available in the Product Pricing Interface in the Dealer Zone as soon as possible. Retail and commercial accounts will be notified of the impending price change through an email, an Account Zone message and the Spring Service Line, which will be mailed in April. Servicing Dealers are also encouraged to inform their customers of the price change.

AMSOIL Unveils New Racing Website

AMSOIL Racing has a new home on the World Wide Web. Debuting in March, is a sleek website dedicated to everything related to AMSOIL racing and promotional events. The new website layout provides easy navigation and features up-to-the-minute racing news, while allowing the company to provide a vast selection of exciting videos.

As with the previous AMSOIL racing pages on, the new website at allows AMSOIL Dealers to provide racing links on their own websites that are embedded with their Z.O. numbers, allowing them to receive credit for sales once visitors check into the AMSOIL Online Store. To link a Dealer website to the new racing website, simply use the same basic linking syntax used to send visitors to the AMSOIL website: (replace xxxxxx with ZO#). The racing website will track visitors for a set number of days, and if they choose to follow a product link back to, the referring Dealer will receive credit for any sales.
