Our discount schedules for commercial and installer accounts help you counteract pricing pressures in these competitive markets and provide greater value to your customers. In limited, high-volume instances, however, our standard discount levels aren’t enough to remain competitive. That’s why we’re introducing the Extended-Discount Program. It is designed for commercial and installer accounts that purchase high enough volumes that even with a 10 percent discount, AMSOIL is not competitive enough to gain new business or expand sales. Accounts with higher annual purchase levels may now qualify for up to 20 percent in additional discounts.

The cost of the extended discount is shared between the servicing Dealer and AMSOIL. In order to participate, AMSOIL will accept reduced profits and the servicing Dealer will accept reduced cash commissions and commission credits. Because Dealers must agree to accept reduced commissions for sales through the Extended-Discount Program, AMSOIL will not be advertising its availability. It’s up to the Dealer to first verify the account’s eligibility for the program with AMSOIL corporate, then offer the extended discount to the account once it’s been approved.

Benefits of the Extended-Discount Program

• Although there is a reduction in the commissions earned on these accounts, the potential gain in business can outweigh those reductions and allow for greater earning potential.

• Gain access to high-volume accounts that previously would not consider AMSOIL due to perceived high cost of products.

• Expand sales with existing accounts that will be able to purchase higher volumes of AMSOIL products.

Extended Discount Approval Process

1. An account must be fully approved by AMSOIL to take part in the Extended-Discount Program. Dealers must contact the Commercial Program Manager or Retail Program Manager to discuss the opportunity prior to offering an extended discount to any customer.

2. AMSOIL will approve or deny the extension of discounts based on the business opportunity of the account and the Dealer’s approval for reduced commissions.

3. If fully approved, the Dealer communicates the new extended discount to the customer.

4. The extended discount is applied toward the account’s purchases moving forward and the change in commissions from the account is applied for the Dealer.
