July 1, 2014
Effective July 1, all sales aids (G-items) will be charged tax. AMSOIL is registered in Canada as a direct seller under an Alternative Collection Method. To be in compliance with this agreement, AMSOIL must charge GST/HST on all sales aids or document any Dealers who are exempt. Only home-based Dealers who do not solicit or sell from a fixed place of business can be exempt. If you are a Dealer working out of your home, you will have to fill out the appropriate information on the Sales Tax Adjustment Form (G20) for each order with sales aids to receive a credit back on the tax. All other Dealers will have to pay GST/HST on sales aids and claim an input tax credit on their Canada Revenue GST/HST return.
