Price Adjustment Effective June 1

We are implementing a minimal price adjustment in the U.S. and Canada effective June 1.

Why Are We Adjusting Prices?  

We are continuing to face rapidly rising raw-materials costs. The COVID-19 pandemic, the February ice storm in the Gulf Coast and other global factors have disrupted the supply and demand for raw materials in unprecedented ways. We are receiving increases on a daily and weekly basis. Everything has been affected, from the base oils and additives used to formulate lubricants to the cardboard and plastic used to create lubricant packaging.

Our competitors have all issued multiple price increases to their distributors due to the rising costs of additives, base oils, steel, plastics and freight. While we are continuing to work hard for you and our customers to keep pricing down, we are forced to adjust prices as well to keep up with rising costs. These adjustments have been made as minimal as possible and with a sharp eye on our position within the market. Accessing Updated Pricing  

Updated pricing information is available in the Pricing Lookup in the Dealer and Account Zones. The AMSOIL Wholesale Price List (G3500, G8500) and catalogs (Factory-Direct [G100, G300], Automotive [G3549, G3550], Powersports & Racing [G3511, G3512], Commercial Program [G3469, G3474], Retail Program [G3520, G3521]) are available with updated pricing in the Dealer Zone. Printed versions will be available as soon as possible. We will notify your retail and commercial accounts of the price adjustment and include a Wholesale Price List in a June Service Line.

New 15W-50 Viscosity Joins Synthetic Small-Engine Oil Family

Available June 1, new 15W-50 Synthetic Small-Engine Oil is the newest addition to the AMSOIL Synthetic Small-Engine Oil family. It’s recommended primarily for zero-turn-mower engines, bringing the excellent benefits of AMSOIL Synthetic Small-Engine Oil to applications that require an SAE 50, 10W-50 or 15W-50 oil.

Commercial Training: Sales Resource Strategies

The Commercial Sales Team is excited to continue our series of commercial training sessions. The next meeting will cover sales resource strategies and pick up where our problem/solution selling tactics training left off in April. After gathering valuable information from your prospect, we will discuss options for your next steps.

AMSOIL Industrial Update

In August 2020, AMSOIL President & CEO Alan Amatuzio announced the development of a new AMSOIL Industrial business unit that will pursue business-to-business (B2B) sales opportunities to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and large industrial operations. Together, the AMSOIL Industrial focus on complex, high-liability industrial sales and the Dealer focus on enthusiasts, installers, retailers and commercial businesses will deliver the diversification and strength to secure the future for AMSOIL for the next 50 years.

Soon we will launch a new website to support AMSOIL Industrial. The new website is an important tool for helping build AMSOIL INC. by communicating the capabilities and value proposition of AMSOIL Industrial to targeted audiences.

If you missed the introduction of AMSOIL Industrial, you can read about it on page 4 of the August 2020 edition of AMSOIL Magazine. As our partners, you should be aware of our company goals and strategies, and one of our top goals each fiscal year is to grow the company. Doing so increases the company’s strength, which serves the purpose of helping Dealers be successful and ensuring AMSOIL remains strong for decades to come. As highlighted in Alan Amatuzio’s message last August, the industrial/OEM market represents approximately 50% of all lubricants sold. Strengthening the company means we must be more active in this vital market, and the AMSOIL Industrial division is a big step in that direction.

This is an exciting development and represents a milestone for AMSOIL. We’re heading in the right direction and continuing to grow despite the economic challenges many companies still face. This bodes well for your business and the Dealer opportunity.

New EZ Order Form Available

AMSOIL is consistently looking for ways to improve processes and embrace new technologies. That’s why we simplified the EZ order process into one new form that covers all types of accounts. Some of the benefits of the new EZ Order form include:

  • Mobile-friendly design
  • Standard checkout page
  • Consistent interface across all account types
  • Ability to apply P.C. points and promotions
  • Option to save cards on file for personal orders
  • Pay with PayPal option

The new EZ Order Form is now available in the Dealer Zone. The old EZ Dealer Order and EZ Account Order forms will no longer be available as of June 1.

Save 10 Program Discontinued

The AMSOIL Save 10 Program is discontinued. The program offered former Dealers and Preferred Customers 10 percent off online/catalog orders as long as they placed an order within 15 months of their Dealership/membership’s expiration date, and at least once every 15 months thereafter. Customer reports identifying Save 10 customers will be updated soon.

Improved Search Function Now Active on AMSOIL.com/AMSOIL.ca

Thanks to recently completed updates to the search function on AMSOIL.com and AMSOIL.ca, users who search for AMSOIL products by product code (ASL, OEF, AQS, for example) now receive better first-page results.

Donaldson Price Adjustment

Effective July 1, Donaldson has implemented an average 7 percent price increase on its filters due to increased raw-material costs.
