AMSOIL is the Official Oil of the Sturgis, Daytona and Laconia motorcycle rallies. The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally took place just last month, and a few corporate employees received the opportunity to promote AMSOIL products in the corporate booth on Main Street. A concentrated effort was made to ask customers who stated they were already using AMSOIL in their motorcycles if they also used AMSOIL in their cars, trucks or other types of equipment. Approximately 95 percent of these customers said “No.” Do you know what that means? Opportunity!

Go to your current customers and find out more about their lubrication needs. If you’re selling someone motorcycle oil, odds are he or she has a car, or two or three. Those vehicles need AMSOIL. A customer who only uses AMSOIL in his or her snowmobile or four-wheeler often has a truck and trailer that would also benefit from the use of AMSOIL products.

Your current customers are easier to sell to compared to those who haven’t yet experienced the benefits of AMSOIL products. Let your current customers know the same quality and performance they receive with their current product is consistent throughout the entire AMSOIL product line. If they like the performance they realize with AMSOIL Synthetic Motorcycle Oil, they will love the performance they receive from AMSOIL synthetic motor oils. And don’t forget to ask them for a referral, perhaps a family member or friend they ride with who could also benefit from using AMSOIL products.

AMSOIL Expands Signature Series, XL and OE Lines

With the continuing trend toward lighter viscosity motor oils, AMSOIL has expanded the Signature Series, XL and OE lines. The Signature Series line now includes a 5W-20 oil (ALM), while the XL and OE lines now each include a 0W-20 oil (XLZ, OEZ). Like the other oils in their respective lines, each new oil is formulated to provide outstanding protection and performance and meet the latest API SN/ILSAC GF-5 specifications. XL and OE 0W-20 are API licensed.

Dealers Targeted by Other Business Opportunities

AMSOIL Dealers are occasionally targeted to participate in other business opportunities. Although some offers may be legitimate, many are scams or inappropriate offers for AMSOIL Dealers. AMSOIL is not able to prevent most of these solicitations, and Dealers are urged to exercise caution and evaluate opportunities on a buyer-beware basis. The success of AMSOIL Dealers is appealing to those offering these types of solicitations, and with the prominence of the World Wide Web, these offers are expected to increase.

AMSOIL Dealers are free to participate in another business. However, because some opportunities can contradict the AMSOIL message, or even involve products whose use would void the AMSOIL warranty, it is not recommended. Participation can also detract efforts and resources away from the AMSOIL business opportunity, which is a proven effective, profitable and stable business. AMSOIL policy states that Dealers who participate in a second business must refrain from contacting, targeting or soliciting all non-personally-sponsored AMSOIL Dealers.

Injen/AMSOIL Diesel and Gasoline Air Intake Systems are discontinued and available while supplies last.

Well, here we are in August 2011. Hard to believe the year is more than half over, isn’t it? Time flies when you’re having fun, but don’t lose sight of the goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the year.

Now is a good time to pick a nice place in the shade to relax, grab a glass of lemonade and take a look at the goals you set at the beginning of the year. How many Dealers did you want to sponsor by this time of the year? How many retail or commercial accounts did you want to sign up? Have you met your targets? Was attending AU one of your goals? It was for over 350 Dealers who attended this year and are now out pounding the pavement with new enthusiasm and information to bring their customers.

Take a look at your goals and modify them if necessary. Refocus your efforts on where you want to be by the end of 2011. It is not too late. And, be sure to call on your sponsoring Dealer, Direct Jobber or the Dealer Sales Department for any direction or advice on how you can make the last half of 2011 the absolute best. Do it now before the snow flies.
