AMSOIL is
currently testing different graphic, copy and navigation options on its
website. A certain number of new visitors to www.amsoil.com will see these
variations, while previous visitors and other new visitors will not. This
testing will benefit all Dealers through website improvements designed to
increase sales, and AMSOIL asks Dealers to do all they can to avoid
unintentionally skewing the test results (clearing cookies, visiting
www.amsoil.com through a different computer, etc.).

AMSOIL to Take Training on the Road
Dealer Training and Business Opportunity
Meetings Coming to Lexington and Richmond
Building a successful business and a stable, high-performing personal
group is not easy. It’s a learning process, takes hard work and no matter how
successful an AMSOIL Dealer is, there’s always more to learn and room to grow.
With that in mind, AMSOIL will be conducting valuable Dealer training in the
mid-Atlantic region. Comprehensive training events are being held in Lexington,
Ky. August 12-13 and Richmond, Va. August 15. In addition to the Dealer
training, each location will be the site of an AMSOIL business opportunity
meeting for anyone who may be interested in becoming an AMSOIL Dealer.
AMSOIL Business Opportunity Meetings
AMSOIL Dealers are encouraged to invite current catalog customers,
Preferred Customers or others who may be interested in an independent business
opportunity. AMSOIL corporate personnel will present information on AMSOIL

meetings will also include successful AMSOIL Dealers sharing their personal
stories on how they built their businesses.

New AMSOIL Partnership Provides Outstanding New Dealer Website Options
AMSOIL has partnered with Empowerkit to offer AMSOIL Dealers a variety of outstanding new website packages, and the existing AMSOIL lubedealer.com websites will be shutting down later this year.
The new Dealer
websites offer easy-to-use applications with advanced features and professional
design, providing maximum online exposure and helping Dealers compete in
today’s competitive and ever-changing online marketplace. Featuring an
up-to-date layout that mimics the corporate site, Dealers can choose the
products and features they want highlighted on their sites.
Dealers with
lubedealer.com websites are encouraged to upgrade to one of the new website
options at their earliest opportunity. AMSOIL stopped registering new
lubedealer.com websites on May 1, no new enhancements or editing will be
available after June 1 and all lubedealer.com websites will go inactive later
in the year. Premium Dealer Zone subscribers with customizable lubedealer
websites will receive an upcoming Message Center announcement with details on
when their sites will be deactivated.
In order to
allow Dealer business cards and other promotional materials to remain
effective, AMSOIL will redirect existing lubedealer.com websites to affected
Dealers' new websites until approximately June 1, 2016.
Visit the Digital
Marketing Program section of the Dealer Zone (Services>Dealer
Websites>Digital Marketing Program) for more information and to select a
website option.
See the June AMSOIL Magazine for
more information.
Exciting New Training, Tools and Enhancements
AMSOIL University (AU) Online, Knowledgebase and new Dealer Dashboard and Customer
Relationship Management (CRM) features increase accessibility of Dealer
training and provide valuable new business tools.
AMSOIL University Online
Unveiled at AMSOIL University in May and officially launching in January
2016, AU training will soon be available through the Dealer Zone, increasing
the accessibility of this valuable training to all Dealers and decreasing the
financial and time commitments previously required to attend the training at
AMSOIL corporate headquarters.
Knowledgebase
AMSOIL has launched a powerful new database in the Dealer Zone designed to
provide Dealers a user-friendly and efficient way to access and search for information.
Dealer Dashboard Enhancements
In addition to a number of other enhancements, the Dealer Dashboard in the
Premium Dealer Zone now features a “Change of Customer Status” section, allowing
Dealers to keep track of transferred customers, reactivated customers and
customers who recently changed programs.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
A Customer Relationship Management (CRM) section has been added to the
Dealer Business System (DBS), providing an outstanding tool for keeping track
of customers, accounts and where your prospects are in the sales process.
See the June AMSOIL Magazine for
more information.
New ‘Customer Bill of Rights’ Policy
Many new customers who seek AMSOIL products ultimately place their first
orders directly with AMSOIL INC. Because AMSOIL is committed to its Dealer
network, these customers are assigned to qualified T-1 Certified Dealers. Although
this works well most of the time, there are exceptions. Customers deserve to
be serviced by active Dealers who they like, and they should be able to count
on that high level of service the entire time they remain active
customers. Therefore, AMSOIL must reserve more influence with these
assigned customers. If a Dealer is inactive, unwilling or unable to provide an
acceptable level of service, AMSOIL reserves the right to reassign T-1
assigned customers to another trained, qualified, active and local
Dealer. Although this isn’t likely to happen often, it should serve as a
reminder to all Dealers of the importance of providing excellent customer
service to all customers, whether personally sponsored or assigned.
Commercial & Retail Marketing Procedures Update
The following policy regarding the servicing of commercial and retail
accounts has been added to the Commercial & Retail Marketing Procedures (under
the “Responsibilities” section):
6. Continuously work on behalf of accounts to
ensure satisfaction and success. This includes, but is not limited to, the
following:
· Maintain regular contact as scheduled or
expected by the account.
· Ensure accounts have current price lists and
are informed about new product developments.
· Assist accounts in finding the best possible
order placement, shipping, delivery and payment options to meet specific needs.
· Ensure AMSOIL has current contact information
for all active accounts.
· Ensure co-op advertising credits are managed
and used to achieve greatest results.
· Ensure profile information is kept up-to-date
for retail accounts that qualify for the Online Locator.
The Commercial & Retail Marketing Procedures (G1097) and related documents will be updated soon.
AMSOIL Establishes Dealer Development Group, Realigns RSM Territories
The new AMSOIL Dealer Development Group is responsible for the training
and education of the Dealer network, and they will be in the field hosting
training sessions and developing curriculum for the upcoming AU Online. The
Dealer Development Group is headed by Rob Stenberg, Director of Dealer
Development, while Steve LePage moves into the role of Dealer Training Manager.
Stay tuned for more updates.
Effective June 1, the Regional Sales Manager territories have been
realigned and reassigned:

New Eligibility Requirements Maximize Number of Retail Accounts Appearing on the AMSOIL Locator
Effective June 1, AMSOIL INC. has adjusted the eligibility requirements
for retail and installer accounts to appear on the AMSOIL Locator at www.amsoil.com. The changes are designed to increase the
number of accounts that appear on the Locator and prevent accounts from
unnecessarily dropping off, helping Dealers increase sales.
In the past, accounts had to purchase $500 of qualifying products in six
months to remain active on the Locator. Since purchase history was based
on a rolling six-month window that updated daily, accounts that made large but
infrequent purchases lost eligibility. For example, an account that placed a
$1,500 order at the beginning of the year and did not order again for more than
six months was dropped from the Locator. The new requirements are designed to
prevent this from happening.
Accounts may now appear on the Locator if they meet any of the following
purchase requirements:
- $300
in the previous 3 months
- $600
in the previous 6 months
- $900
in the previous 9 months
- $1,200
in the previous 12 months
Minimum purchase requirements have been reduced from $500 to $300,
increasing the number of eligible accounts. Products must have shipped in order
to be included in the purchase requirement. Qualifying purchases include
products that are sold on the shelf or installed in consumer applications.
Purchases of literature and promotional items, tax, shipping, etc. do not count
toward the purchase requirements. The following product types apply to an
account's qualifying purchase:
- Motor
Oil
- Diesel
Oil
- Oil
Filters
- Two-Stroke

- Transmission
Fluid
- Gear
Lube
- Motorcycle

- Four-Stroke

New OAI Website Now Live
The Oil Analyzers Inc. (OAI) website at www.oaitesting.com has been completely redesigned with updated graphics and easier
navigation. It now provides more information about oil analysis and other fluid
analysis services, while allowing more features to be added in the future. Look
for more educational content about online sample submission, and additional
updates and improvements as they develop.
Canadian Price Adjustment Effective July 1
AMSOIL has refrained from adjusting Canadian prices for as long as
possible, but action must be taken to offset the significant losses derived
from increased raw-material costs and continued fluctuation in the exchange
rate this year. The exchange rate between the Canadian and US dollars has been
more volatile recently than at any time since 1929. All projections and
expert advice, however, predict some stability in the coming months. Barring
any major fluctuations in the coming weeks, AMSOIL expects the adjustment to be
in the 9-10 percent range, with an average increase of 9.7 percent.
AMSOIL has implemented every possible action to offset these losses,
including absorbing some of the impact of the declining exchange rate and
increased raw-material costs, as well as taking steps to help maintain this
level of pricing for a reasonable length of time even if there are some additional
minor fluctuations. This is the minimum price adjustment necessary. Updated
pricing will be available in the Dealer Zone by June 12 and hard-copy price
lists will be available shortly thereafter.
