New Ontario Recycling Fees Effective November 1

Stewardship Ontario has increased costs for its recycling programs, and new oil container recycling fees are effective in Ontario November 1. Rates on all two- and four-stroke oil containers will increase by .04 per liter.

Ea15K88 Filter Dealer Inventory Suitable for Use, DC Inventory Available in Early October

The manufacturing issue affecting Ea15K88 Oil Filters has been resolved. After extensive testing, AMSOIL and its filtration partners determined the defect affected only the newest batch of filters. Those filters never left AMSOIL distribution centers; they were quarantined and destroyed. The filters in the field are suitable for normal use and Dealers can resume sales of those filters without concern. New Ea15K88 Filters will be available for purchase from AMSOIL in early October. Check the Dealer Zone for additional updates on timing.

AMSOIL Keeps Sturgis Cool

Hundreds of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts made the trek to Sturgis, S.D. in August for the 2014 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The historic bike rally hosts a jam-packed week of entertainment with bike shows, racing, burnout events, concerts and more. AMSOIL returned as the Official Oil for the 74th annual rally, and this year became the exclusive Official Oil of the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground, which hosted rounds 11 and 12 of the TORC Series presented by AMSOIL.

AMSOIL retained its larger booth footprint on Main Street this year, and added two more oil-change locations to serve the growing number of bikers who wanted AMSOIL products installed in their motorcycles.

The AMSOIL Metal Display Shelf (G3215) is back in stock and available for purchase. Due to its popularity, AMSOIL has extended the limited-time Dealer Merchandising Display Co-op Program for this product. While the co-op offer normally expires 30 days after a qualifying order, sponsoring Dealers are allowed to take advantage of the offer anyway if their account’s qualifying order was placed while the shelf was sold out.

EA15K88 Sales Temporarily Suspended

A manufacturing issue has been discovered in current inventory of Ea15K88 Oil Filters. AMSOIL has temporarily discontinued sales of the filter until a solution is reached with the filtration partner that manufactured the filter. Dealers who have Ea15K88 Filters in stock should also suspend sales until further notice. Please do not return filters to AMSOIL at this time; instructions for returns will be provided once it has been determined whether the issue has affected filters currently in the field. Customers with an Ea15K88 filter currently installed can continue using the filter at the normally prescribed interval. Watch the Dealer Zone for updates as the situation develops.

Ontario Oil-Filter Recycling Fees

Due to the build-up of excess funds, Ontario and AMSOIL temporarily stopped charging oil-filter recycling fees in October 2013. With the surplus soon depleted, the following oil-filter recycling fees will apply effective September 1:

$0.50 per filter less than 8” in length

$1.00 per filter 8” in length or greater
