Beware of fraudulent emails from an ongoing spear-phishing campaign. Multiple Dealers have reported receiving emails from multiple AMSOIL INC. employees, including VP, Finance Deena Peterson and other Accounting team members.
An example of one of these emails is below. Notice it is not from an AMSOIL.com email address.

Attention : Accounts Payable,
We are currently experiencing delays with our account reconciliations and aging receivables, resulting in a bottleneck in our payment process.
It is imperative that due invoices are paid promptly. Could you please provide the details of the last payment made for the period and the next scheduled payment for our upcoming invoices?
Thank you!,

AMSOIL Dealers are occasionally the target of scam artists posing as legitimate companies or business associates. Be cautious of emails that seem out of the ordinary or don’t fit the mold of your usual communications with an organization, and be aware of phishing attempts. Even if the name and email address in the “from” box appear legitimate, hover your cursor over the email address. If the pop-up balloon reflects a different email address, the email is not legitimate and is likely an attempt to place a fraudulent order or steal personal information.
Remember to look, but don’t click. Always hover your cursor over images and links to ensure they actually match a legitimate company. A couple minutes of online research by name, business name, address and telephone number can usually confirm whether an opportunity is legitimate. If you have doubts, do more research, decline the opportunity and advise AMSOIL/others to look out for similar activities.
