The new “find specific product” option on the Locator allows customers to find retail accounts that carry specific AMSOIL products, making it easier to find exactly what they’re looking for, while helping drive traffic to AMSOIL retail accounts and installers. In the past, customers had to search location-by-location to find a shop carrying a specific product or viscosity. The new functionality allows them to search by product category, product line and viscosity to quickly find a nearby retailer that carries what they need. Because listed inventory levels are not “real-time,” customers are advised to call ahead to confirm the retailer still has the product available. In an additional effort to give customers what they want, the Locator will remain visible on the site at all times.
An additional
new feature recently implemented on the Locator indicates whether retail
accounts offer installation service for customer-provided AMSOIL products. The
new “Installs customer-provided AMSOIL Products” badge serves as an indicator
to do-it-for-me (DIFM) customers that they can purchase AMSOIL products that
the shop might not carry from AMSOIL Dealers or amsoil.com, and the shop will
install them. This is especially helpful for Preferred Customers who fall into
the DIFM category.
AMSOIL Dealers
must confirm whether their registered accounts install products supplied by
customers, and update those accounts’ information administration pages in the
Dealer Zone accordingly. Selecting the “I accept customer-provided oil for
installation” checkbox allows a corresponding icon to appear with the account’s
listing on the Online Locator.

accounts’ information to ensure it is accurately reflected on the Locator,
visit the Retail
Account Administration page in the Dealer Zone (My
Business>Retail Account Information Administration).
