Aerosol products are governed under different requirements in Canada than in the U.S., and recent changes to those requirements (VOC levels, flame extension requirements) would require AMSOIL to alter its formulations and packaging in ways that would reduce performance and increase costs. Because AMSOIL does not want to offer less-effective products that cost more, most aerosols are no longer available in Canada. Metal Protector (CMP) will continue to be available, and AMSOIL is reviewing its other aerosol product formulations. While this isn’t the preferred outcome, it is the one that makes the most sense for Dealers and the company.
