AMSOIL Dealers are occasionally targeted through the Internet by solicitors offering opportunities to join new organizations, add new product lines from other companies or receive business-building advice from an MLM “expert.” Others offer website-building services that often overpromise the positive effects the website will deliver. Although some offers may be legitimate, many are scams or inappropriate offers for AMSOIL Dealers. AMSOIL is not able to prevent most of these solicitations, and Dealers are urged to exercise caution and evaluate opportunities on a buyer-beware basis. Be wary of proposals that seem too good to be true, have recurring fee structures or request actions that violate AMSOIL policies. The success of AMSOIL Dealers is appealing to those offering these types of solicitations, and with the prominence of the World Wide Web, these offers are expected to increase.
If you have any questions or additional information about potential scams or solicitations by those offering services that violate AMSOIL policies, please notify [email protected] or your Regional Sales Manager. Dealers who receive unwanted solicitations can file a complaint with the FTC at www.ftc.gov/spam/ or by calling 1-877-382-4357.
