New Presentations

Six new AMSOIL presentations are available for viewing in the Dealer Zone. To access the presentations, click the Presentations link under the Dealer Sales Training tab.

Driven by AMSOIL race team sponsorships; AMSOIL advertising and the efforts of AMSOIL Dealers, the AMSOIL name is more recognized than ever. The company’s presence grew considerably in 2010 and AMSOIL brand awareness has expanded opportunities for Dealers in virtually all markets. This presentation focuses on a review of 2010 and how racing sponsorships and advertising work hand-in-hand with the promotional efforts of AMSOIL Dealers. The presentation also looks toward the year ahead at exciting new sponsorships and advertising and the opportunities they create for Dealers.

While AMSOIL has always made every effort to maintain the lowest prices possible and has delayed raising prices for as long as feasible, AMSOIL recently announced a minimal price adjustment on select products in the U.S. effective March 1, 2011. This presentation explains some of the factors influencing prices in the current lubricants market, what the competition is doing and what AMSOIL Dealers can do.

There are many ATF additives on the market today, but numerous problems can be caused by their use. This presentation defines what ATF additives are and covers the claims made by ATF additive manufacturers and test results demonstrating their detrimental effects. The presentation also showcases the superiority of AMSOIL ATF.

Dealer training is a key component to developing a successful AMSOIL business. AMSOIL University is the company’s most important live Dealer training event of the year, and is a must-attend event for any Dealer serious about building his or her business. This presentation covers the many benefits, special incentives, wide variety of classes and great social activities AMSOIL has planned for this year.

AMSOIL P.i. Money-Back Guarantee

New Retail Catalogs Available

New AMSOIL U.S. Retail Catalogs (G100) updated with March 1 pricing will be available for purchase beginning the second week of March.

AMSOIL Monster Energy Supercross Leads

As the official oil of the Monster Energy Supercross Series, AMSOIL hosts contests at each event that allow spectators a chance to win AMSOIL prizes. Many contest submissions are converted into leads and assigned to local Dealers through the T-1 program. The leads are identified in the Dealer Zone Message Center as “SX” leads with the names of the cities they were generated from (IE: SX-Anaheim, CA). Dealers who receive a lead from this program are encouraged to follow-up as normal, but bear in mind these leads were gathered as contest submissions, and the individuals may not share the same high level of interest as leads who request AMSOIL product or program information. AMSOIL Retail Catalogs (G100) and ordering information are sent electronically to prospects who provided e-mail addresses, and hard copies are sent to those who provided mailing addresses only.

Tax Information for U.S. and Canadian Dealers

Commissions are considered income and are reported on form 1099 Misc (U.S.) and form T4A (Canada).

The 1099 and T4A forms only reflect commissions paid during the calendar year. They do not include any deductions or credits from Dealer checks.

Dealers will only receive a 1099 form if their commission checks totaled more than $600 in 2010 for U.S. Dealers and more than $500 for Canadian Dealers. Note that T4A forms are issued in Canadian funds.

Dealers’ 1099 and T4A income is determined by the dates of the commission checks issued between January 1 and December 31, 2010. This will essentially be December 2009 through November 2010 commissions.

AMSOIL mailed all 1099 and T4A forms by January 31, 2011. Please allow at least two weeks delivery time before calling for a replacement form.

Dealers suspecting an error on their 1099 or T4A forms are advised to gather their check stubs and call the accounting department at 715-399-6348.

If a Dealer who sold his or her business to another Dealer, or took over for someone else, receives a 1099 form made out to him or her, he or she is advised to gather all documentation regarding the date the change took place. AGGRAND Launches Improved Natural Liquid Lime Formulation

The new AGGRAND Natural Liquid Lime (NLL) formulation is now available. Incorporating pure calcitic limestone, the improved formulation boasts an average particle size 600 percent smaller than the previous formulation and nearly doubles the available calcium. Because calcium plays a critical role in overall plant nutrient uptake, it should be part of any long-term fertilization program. In fact, approximately 90 percent of the soil analyses received by AGGRAND need calcium. In addition, the new formulation’s suspension agents reduce product separation for longer shelf-life.
